Yes with FI it's probably a good idears to have a shift light.
I'll probably end up putting one of Modifry's audible shift indicators in the car.
Haven't really had any problems except for hitting the limiter in third (!) once, but a good shift indicator will totally eliminate such things. I think hitting the limiter while powering out of a corner would be MUCH WORSE than hitting VTEC mid turn. The supercharger makes the limiter quite harsh.

Why, what exactly happens when you hit the limiter? I thought the engine just kind of bounced at redline....

Well, what happens is that the car goes from rapid acceleration to no acceleration almost instantly. When the acceleration stops, the cars balance is upset, shifting to the front. It almost feels like you've stomped on the brakes, and has a similar effect on the balance of the car. The car does NOT decelerate when it hits the limiter, but it gets so unbalanced that it almost feels like it's slowing down, and if you were already pushing the cornering/traction limit, the sudden change in forces would likely cause an abrupt spin. LOL, I don't intent do try it to find out.
