Bought the car 4 years ago with 69k miles. Since then I've put 27k miles on it and had to replace:
- Battery
- Soft top (haven't replaced it yet, but needs it badly)
Literally nothing else has broken or failed on the car.

- replaced both front wheel bearings.
- two cracked windshields replaced
- replaced all fluids many times
- tires, belts, plugs, battery, filters, brakes and rotors as needed.
- one running light bulb and the license plate bulb
That's it. Still have original TCT, alternator, starter and clutch. I haven't touched my A/C or engine except for a valve adjustment at 200k. Original headlamp bulbs, oxygen sensors and coil packs too, however I've been collecting various spares since I don't want to scramble when it's time to replace something. I do my own repairs and maintenance.
Reliable is an understatement.......

Btw, the responses on this thread is a stark contrast to the BMW forums lol

I have had my S2000 for just about a year now. I have spent far more on participating in Spring Fling, TomKatt, mid Ohio and Gettysburg than I have on repairs. I hope to hang on to this car for many more years. It is amazing how many great owners I have met in this first year. Hondas have always been great cars and their owners have always been exceptional.

My pre-purchase inspection was garbage, and I didn't know anything about cars at the time, so my S needed a new VTEC solenoid, valve adjustment, motor mounts, serpentine belt, valve cover gasket, and clutch master cylinder right when I bought it. I've also changed out all fluids as baseline maintenance. Besides that, I've put in new spark plugs and fuel injectors in chasing down a misfire, so I've spent about $2000 in my first year. The knowledge, DIY skills, and enjoyment I've gotten out of this car have been worth every penny.

Had it for a year, replaced shocks, and A/C, pretty sure gotta change bushings soon, replaced clutch too, and regular maintenance stuff. Changed a lot of gaskets and emission stuff, mostly for peace of mind. Gotta change the alternator soon, same with the top. Otherwise nothing. I've put about 15k miles on it, I imagine I'll keep putting on more, engine is still good, drivetrain is still pretty good, suspension is soon to get better with new bushings, and any control arm replacement. Axle buckets and wheel bearings still good as far as I can tell.

I've had my 2002 for nearly 3 yrs and have put about 12k miles on it and it has 81k now. Zero repairs, only maintenance. Fluids, filters, belt, valve check, compression check, etc. Brake fluid and coolant needs changed.

12 years, 75k miles, and I don't think I've had a significant repair yet. Wear items, sure. Fluids, batteries, sure. Couple of cosmetic items here and there. As for actual repairs, I had a the clutch master cylinder and a window regulator replaced under warranty - that's it. Still on the original clutch, and my wife even learned how to drive a manual in this car. Original starter. Original TCT. It's needed practically nothing.
Just in the past few weeks, I have had a scary rash of repairs - a brake light bulb burned out ($9 to replace a pair of bulbs), and the brake lights were stuck "ON" (<$2 part).
Amazing how reliable this car has been. Daily driving duty. AutoX. Even the occasional track day.
