How to unlock s2k when battery is dead?
Indeed. That's why I suggested what I did as a means to rule that potential issue first. It's plausible that this may be the issue, especially since it's a 2001. Not many people think to clean/grease hinges and locks on their cars yearly.
Mine work properly and was using the same key I have had for 7 years lol, the problem was the freezing rain that froze them up wouldn't let me open the doors. When I used the remote, I could hear it move, but not let them unlatch, and when I put the key in, it just would not unlatch either. I kept using the remote until I hear the passenger side unlatch, I had to pull on the door pretty hard to get it open since it was frozen shut. When I crawled in through the passenger side, I sat in my drivers seat, tried to open it from the inside, and it would still not unlatch. I would pull the handle all the way and nothing would happen. When I drove for a while to my destination, I tried the handle and nothing, so I took the key out of the ignition and used the remote and it unlocked. Haven't had any issues since then, it hasn't been as cold as it was that way with freezing rain. So for my experience, freezing rain was the issue and reason mine wouldn't open.
Yes i tried the passengers side, it is the same. The key moves left and right but nothing happens. A friend told me that it was the same at his car, because they didn't use the lock 5 years or more..they always used remote to unlock. So how can this happen?
There's no reason that you shouldn't be able to open your car with your key, as long as the locks are operating properly and you're using the correct key.
If you can get into your trunk, you could hook your trunk light wiring up to a trickle charger to put enough voltage in the circuit to allow the key fob to work. It might take a few hours of charging, though. Don't hook up a regular battery charger - you'll likely blow the fuse.

Yes i can get into the trunk - this is the only lock that actually operates with key. Just tell me what do you mean by trickle charger?? I never heard of that..
Thanks!

I did once upon a time have a 94 Camaro though, the locks stopped working. All the hinges, and rods, inside of the door panel became loose. Made it difficult to lock/unlock, and hard to turn the key too.
