a negative rep for voicing an opinion on an open forum.......

just saying what probably more than half of the people r thinking when the see this thread, plus with the extremely high theft rate of s2000's, and everyone on this forum being an owner, you'd think you would want this kind of caution

it should be required to show some sort of proof of ownership when someone is asking how to get into an s2000 without using keys....but then again thats just my opinion please dont give me a negative rep

Even if you unlock it with out the key, you will still need a way to drive off with it, and if anyone was going to steal it, slashing the top would be a faster option. he's asking how to get into it, not how to turn it on without the key. Even tho it seems fishy, I can see where he is coming from since I have already stated that something similar has happened to me. What opinion did you voice? lock the thread? Thanks for the amazing input on the topic. Also, reps are gone, pay attention, SheDrivesit was being sarcastic,

exactly...me saying lock the thread was my opinion, obviously its only an opinion cause i dont have the power to do that, and other people do agree, you yourself just said it seems fishy, even if i was 99% sure it was legit but something seemed fishy i would not give out that kind of information, but thats just me

either way man im not looking to start arguments, im just saying if the OP provided some kind of picture of him with his s2000 holding a sign with his board name or something to that extent, it would seem much more legit

im not here to clash with other s2000 owners, if anything im trying to protect other owners, i mean how often to theft/vandalism threads pop up around here?

I did the following to an old car that Deadlocked itself and had a flat battery and would need the central locking to unlock again..

As I could not enter the passanger compartment to pop the bonnet/hood, and put on jump leads, i was able to open the boot/trunk lock with the key. I attached the negitive lead to a solid earth point(boot lid striker) , i then popped out the trunk light and removed the bulb. I then attached the positive lead to the positive wire and the central locking was able to draw enough power to open the locks to the passenger compartment...

Maybe this might help you unlock your car if the key does not work in the door...

Note: do not turn on the ignition on anything else withthe battery pack like this.. as soon as you open the door, jump start the usual way.

yes it can, maybe depending on how far they have to drive, when I was in the military, I locked my keys in a rented Eclipse, charged me $80 had to wait about an hour for them to get to where I was.
