as bad as this sounds, this was actually an awesome idea. Personally, i wouldn't stoop this low and lie to my parents, but if you really want the wheels, doesn't hurt to give it a try.

Well that would have worked prior to him mentioning the wheels but now it would make it completely obvious + stress them out about their sons car as such a big theft target which = more complaints.

Pretty much, they don't understand why I have to get rid of my nice OEM wheels.
You would not believe how similar if not identical your situation with mine....

Except living for free lol!!

I do 50-50 with my parents while I'm living under their roof

Damn house is too pricey here...

But yeah dude... I suggest you just calm down and think ahead...

After all... you definitely have a loving and caring parents...

Parents that actually don't let their kids do what ever the hell they want to show them love? Go give your parents a big hug and consider yourself lucky.

buy the wheels. put them on when you get out and then change them back to stock when you come home.

the best of both worlds.

There's really not much to discuss then. Suck it up or fix the situation (move out).

Seriously, though, you clearly have a bit of growing up to do.

Until you can buy your own car, you have no say.

Good thing you aren't asking your mother about an X-Brace.

Saving money and education is FIRST priority. They hate me spending money on my car and have threaten to sell my s2k if I were to spend any sort of money on it.
I wish my parents had pounded that mentality into me when I was a teen. If I had invested all that time and money I spent on stupid things like wheels for my cars I'd be rolling in a Lambo right now instead of a Honda.

This goes against the spirit of s2ki.com and most of its members and the car scene in general, but blowing money on wheels is retarded. They'll make your car, a piece of metal, look cooler. That's it. They won't make YOU look cooler. They also won't make you smarter, taller, more educated or intelligent. They won't give you a raise or advance your career. They won't get you laid more. They might, however, impress other young dudes that are in the car scene. Think about that for a second... spending money to impress other GUYS. I don't know dude....

Invest in assets that appreciates over time. Invest in things that produce income. Invest in yourself.
