Honestly, that seems a bit high...how many hours of labour did they estimate?

On the lift it takes 1-1/2 to 2 hours to r & r the rear end. Setting up the rear end usually costs in the $150-250 range.
So about $350-400 is right. $480 is a little high.

Is this the price for just having the gears put in the core or for the full install and driving away with the new gears installed on the car? Someone offered to have my 4.77's installed on a core for $350. plus $440 for having them cryoed. plus $400 for a core charge, which i would get a refund for sending in my core. so thats $790 to have my gears installed on a core and cryoed. I would still have to pay extra to have it put back in the car. Any input?

BTW I'm driving an NA s2k and don't launch it. Should I even get them cryoed?

Thanks so much guys
no don't get them cryo'd

and op, try calling someone else in your area to compare prices.

I charge $350 for an install.
I just dont pull it apart throw a set of gears in then, slap it back together.
It takes one/two days to build and when finished it is better than new
I also stand behind my work 100%
