I told him I was interested in buying, but wanted to sit in the car and get a feel for the size/comfort before I could buy. I wasn't worried tremendously about the test drive, as I had a pretty good idea of what to expect.

The salesperson told me they didn't have any new ones in stock, but offered to show me the service mgr's S2000 instead. When I arrived, they had discovered a silver 2000 model on the used car lot, so they let me test drive that one. I placed my deposit the next day.
