i just did the fix and it works like a charm.
the hardest part was stuffing the ept into the tiny crevice

if you remove the 2 bolts that the latch pivots on it becomes 10x easier.
you dont even have to use the ept. anything that can fit in between there will work. it only acts as a bushing to keep the plastic from rubbing on each other. and whatever it is you use, it should be weather resistant. dont stuff tissue paper in there. use seran wrap.

Freakin' rattling is coming right above my left ear. Can't track it down for the life of me.

i just solved all my top rattles with......invidia!!! i no longer hear rattles...or squeeks...or anything... now only if my test pipe would arrive!

Will this work for the hardtop latches? Iv'e been trying to fix this problem for a while.

My passenger latch seems to do this because it's "looser" than the drivers side. Are we really correcting the problem with this or just quieting the sound. it seems to be for my issue that the latch needs to snug down better.

I am currently using the tubing fix on the latch hook that someone else mentioned in this forum.

For mine its on the passenger side somwhere but cant find out where. Sounds like a loose panel but couldnt find anything. I think something fell in the hole where the arms of the top fold....
