Maintenance Needed Light Flashing on Startup

Some people can't even find the stupid thing to read it. I had to look in the "secret compartment" for mine.

When I bought my S2000 (used), there WAS no manual, so the dealer ordered me one. Once I got it, and read it, I found the secret compartment. And the original manual

So just in case anybody reading this thread wants to know:

"Approximately every 7000 Miles the maintenance required light will appear on your dash. It is very easy to shut the light off or cancel it.

Put key in ignition
Push trip reset button, continue to hold button for 10 seconds
Turn key to next position
Hold button for approximately 10 seconds or until light stays off.

The secret is holding the reset button and turning the key to the next position. It does not specify that in the manual."

Yeah,

but after you put in the ignition key you have to turn it once then hold the trip reset then turn it again and hold the reset.

Dang it! They should put a post it note on the dash of every car saying something like, "Look in compartment above .................... for owner's manual." We all know salemen can't help us!
