My S reassembled wrong???
The bigger problem is that someone at that dealership knew they screwed up and attempted to hide it from you. If it was a solo act by a tech, that's bad enough. If it was in collaboration with others, then they all should be flogged with a willow cane.
On another thread someone asked why they should change their own oil. Your experience here is the answer. Something as simple as a Honda dealer putting a Honda on the lift turns into this.

Final update. I thought in fairness to Brown Honda (Arlington) I should let you know that they fixed the trunk pan bulge very nicely, flat on inside, flat on underside, couldn't tell anything had happened (the outside surface is rough anyway, so not so hard I guess). Of course, when I went to pick it up they took me in to the shop to approve it, and when the service rep opened the trunk, the floor piece and the molded piece still weren't quite flat, and I started to get mad... but then realized they had them in wrong!! The tabs in the molded (tool holding) piece were pointing toward front of car! So I showed him how to put it together, and it was perfectly flat. Then they started the lift to let me inspect the underside, and I can tell you I got a little nervous when they jacked it... but all was good. And oh yeah, that tranny noise? They had forgotten to snap the console fully down on the passenger side, which I noticed a few days after this all happened when my fingers sort of found themselves UNDER the console edge. So I snapped it in and bamm, no unusual noise! So the dealer did right by the car and fixed it, but I'm still a little gun shy..... Thanks again to all of you who knew what the trunk problem was and equipped me with arguing info!
I'm glad that they 'fixed' everything they broke. It just goes to show you that you have to really inspect the car after every service just for your peace of mind.
I will usually visually inspect my car before and after every service for door dings, nicks, scratches on the front fenders just like when I'm renting a car. Be sure and have the Service Manager with you when you do this.
