Hi All,
I made a hinged front license plate that stays (partially) down when
stopped and comes up when driving above 25 to 30 mph.

I always wondered what that pocket behind the cup holder was for. I guess Honda just used it as a placeholder for the hardtop controls.
What do people use it for anyway???

Barry,
I'm glad that we don't have to deal with this in Michigan. Why the extra plate anyways?
Is your car only experiencing extra heat (4 bars)when climbing with higher than normal revs or is it also happening when idling and driving hard? I think I've read that you already changed the thermostat. I haven't looked but is there room for an auxilary fan. Perhaps you could use the extra switch in your console for an auxilary fan or a way to click on the existing fan manually when you go to 4 bars? I'm sure you've given this some thought already but I figure I just say it anyways.
Good luck,
John
