I leased a 03 NSX and after 2 years I decided to get out of the lease and sell the car. I paid $1500 total driveoff and $862/month including tax for 36 months.
NSX Pluses: STATUS, Exotic Beauty, Mid Engine, Perfect Size, T-Tops, Classy
NSX Negatives: Even though it looks awesome, design is from 15 years ago (except the headlight taillight changes, and other minor cosmetics, interior looks old and boring, Sweet engine but VERY underpowered, gearbox could have been MUCH better, MODS are too expensive, expensive to maintain...
S2K, gearbox feels way better and sportier, steering is a lot more precise, interior looks sportier, cheaper/easier to MOD, overall A LOT MORE FUN TO DRIVE!
Go with whichever puts a smile on your face at the end of the day.

You really have to drive an NSX. On paper, the numbers aren't that impressive. However, the car is fast enough for me. The S2000 is not in the same class. The NSX was Honda's top of the line vehicle, and it shows. The car is very well built. My '91 NSX does not rattle or squeak, whereas my '00 S2000 has a few rattles. As for looks, the S2000 does not have a chance. The NSX has a much lower, wider, and exotic stance. However, I am not comfortable parking the NSX in public places. The car just gets too much attention (both good and bad). In contrast, I can just park the S2000 almost anywhere and not worry about it (it's my daily driver).

It may not be an accurate comparison, but this comes along the same lines:
A couple of months back, I bought a 1999 Porsche Boxster. 5 weeks into ownership, I test drove a 2004 Honda S2000 and fell in love with it. Better engine, better build quality, and you could really see the difference in years.
A 10 year old NSX will have an interior of a 10 year old NSX. Even if the interior bits are kept in mint condition (which is rarely the case), it will lack the modern touch of the S2000.
If I had the budget, I would rather get an older S2000 as a daily driver, and keep+develop the NSX as a hardcore track car. Or vice versa, whichever you fancy. As strange as it seems, I'd want to keep the S2000 as a daily driver and strip out the NSX. The potential of the NSX is much much higher than the S2000, with a decent tuning budget and track dollars.
Quite contrasting to the previous post above, where psychobiology runs his S as a daily driver and his NSX as his garage queen
