outside temperature affects it greatly, and it also helps if you lean the shifter against the gate of the next gear, then quickly slide it in to gear (as opposed to ramming it straight from one gear to the next). i noticed a huge difference when using that technique. i have a 2002 AP1, so it might be different, but it's worth a try.

The shifting will get better with time and mileage, but it takes a while. Mine didn't start limbering up until the 13 to 15k mark and now, at 28k+ miles, it's butter smooth 90% of the time. The only time it's not is when it's very cold out, and/or I get sloppy with the clutch.

Like Xviper said, just drive the car. Give yourself a chance to get used to it. It really is a very fine car!

Drive Safe,
Steve R.
