This might be my first post, I'm not sure.

I want to buy an S within a week or two, I've driven a couple and tried out some other cars over the last month, and I've drooled over an S for years.

I've been comparing the prices people say they paid or would pay for specific S's to the prices that I see listed on cars.com/autotrader.com and at dealerships, and the prices people list here are MUCH lower.

So here's one that I really like: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?t...05&aff=national

How much is it actually worth? What are the specific talking points to bring it down to whatever price that is, if it's much lower than what they're asking on the website.

Thanks.

Alright, 2001 Spa with newer soft top(glass)
He doesn't know what kind of exhaust or wheels are on it...
It has a rebuilt title due to theft and he told me he has pictures from the theft and I guess that's why it has a new top.
Front bumper looks like it has a mark on the front and it doesn't look aligned properly.

Anyways, he is willing to go 13,000 and it'sgot 65,000 kms.

There's also a 2002 Suzuka with 75,000kms with a clean title for 14,500 (I'm guessing this is a waaay better deal)

13k for a rebuilt title s2000 is really high, I would skip on that one since you honestly have no clue what really happend to it. I would look at that Suzuka one and try to talk the price down a little bit.

Turns out the Suzuka has been in a small accident. 2000$ in damage to the front end.

See thats the thing. It is often the "clear title" car with hidden wrecks vs the known rebuilt titles. At least one isn't trying to cover up its history...
