I'm new here and to the s2000, I want to check an opinion on price of a used 2000 model. It's got 85,000 miles, apparently just had a service at 80k miles including a valve adjustment, it's clutch feels perfectly firm, engine feels and sounds good, and a new top (plastic window) a year ago. The body, interior and exterior is perfect, with only minor wear on the seat leather. Oh and it sounded genuine when he said he never took it to redline (the way he said it, I think he was almost worried I would on the test drive lol)

The seller wants $10,000, and it's the only one comparable within a few hundred miles. What's everyone think?

Hi everyone I'm in the market for a S 06-08 White S2000 I have found a perfect one for me for the price and condition I think it's a good price they want 21000 for it I made an offer for 19. Here is my question on the carfax there is one recall on the car stating Recall #Q17 does anyone know this? is this a serious problem? or just a minor thing not to worry about? the car has 32000 honda certified also. Thank you hope to pick up the car buy the end of this week really excited

 

Biker1800 - I think it's worth buying a 1 way plane ticket and shopping around (ie cars.com). I think you could do better than $10k

Go to Honda and register the car with the VIN like you are the owner. It will tell you everything that was done recall wise.

Try www.nada.com. I believe some dealers use nada value as a reference. If anything, it's another piece of info for you to use.

I just stumbled into this carmax ad yesterday and it caught my eye because white seems to be the most desired color and its pricing is usually through the roof but I think this is a good price.

The price seems a little high based on my experience:
18 months ago, MY01 very good condition, 94k miles, stock $10k
17 months ago, MY07 like new, 6k miles, stock, $22k.
