Definitely go check it out first.
Two years ago when I was looking for my s, I took a 45 minute drive to that dealership.
Although it looked pretty good in the pictures, the s2k I went to look at was in pretty bad condition.

 

got a 2001 with 46k garage kept by older women, 10/10 condition painted custom turquoise color. all receipts on maintance fully loaded with alarm etc.

FOR 10K few months ago! with brand new tires and battery and wheel centercaps. in florida too lol.

custom paint drastically reduces the value of a car.

 

The cars I'm finding on Autotrader are interesting, but I wasn't sure if I should start talking price when I find one or if I should go and see the car fist. I don't exactly know what my first steps are to getting a good deal.

I'm looking at this one s2000 and just sent them an email about providing me with any additional information about the vehicle.

I was hoping to get them down to around 19. Too bad it doesn't have the red/black interior.

 

That is way overpriced. Too many miles for 19k. With 19k you should be looking for less than 40k miles and 06-07 model. 04-05 with less than 30k miles can be purchased for 19k. I say look for another deal

 

Found an AP1 local to me. 2002, SIlverstone, 2 owner, clean title, Black interior, decent soft top, 39k miles, 3k on the tires, very clean condition He is asking 16,600. Im gunna throw 15k and go up to 16k. This sound like a decent deal?

 

where do you live? i live in an expensive market (dallas) and i paid a grand more for an 05 (one owner) with 41K miles in excellent condition. thinking you can do better.

 

I'm going to look at this one My link tomorrow, but the price seems insane. I really have very little experience buying cars since I'm only 26. Any idea where to start after the test drive? I asked the guy for pics, but he didn't get them yet because it won't stop raining in New Jersey.

My other choice was this Silverstone, but the driver seat looks like an old bag from the picture. I'm probably going to see both of them tomorrow and would really like some help figuring out how to talk them down on price.
