Guy sounds on top of it! I would purchase that s2k. Miles wouldn't worry me.

 

Anyone know about this dealer? This seems like a pretty decent deal, and the car looks clean.

Sounds like a good deal, the mileage works out to about 12k/yr, not really that much for California.

Hi guys. I'm moving to Wichita, KS in about a month and looking for a new car. What do you guys think about this?

Owner says he doesn't know how many previous owners there have been since he bought it from a friend who is now deployed. He says it uses a quart of oil every 1500 miles (oil burning?). Claims no mechanical problems and will do a compression test. What's a good price and anything else I should look for? This will be my first manual car so it's a little difficult for me to test the shifter.

 

I talked to this guy too but I guess the pink slip is in his uncles name.. Any concerns? Can you still transfer title if he's not on the pink slip?

 

So I've been bouncing around a bit on a couple s2k's and after reading everywhere I've shy'd away from a few on craigslist.. But I want to get your opinions on these:

Just looking for insight, mechanically; Trying to get a feel for which engine sounds more promising, for daily/longevity.

Main concern is the versus. 100k+ miles vs. under/ boosted. Give me your wisdom!!
