Is it just me or is this a little cheap? The guy doesn't have any engine/interior shots, but the outside looks clean.
What do you guys think?

Just entered the market for a used S2000 about a week ago. Current owner of an '09 BMW 135i. Been a great car to me, but it's out of warranty now, and I am ready for something new. Always admired the S, and not sure how much longer I will have an opportunity to have a car like this (kids in the not so distant future). I have a refundable deposit on a car I am going to check out tomorrow. Here's a link...
2004 Honda S2000
Long story short... 2004 S, 18.3k miles, $18k selling price (doesn't include $600 dealer fee)
Thoughts? I will definitely go through the full list of things to check before buying. This forum looks like a great resource. I hope to be a regular here soon!

P.S. Here's my 1!

Just assume the engine is screwed and if your ok with the $4k to replace it then go for it!
I know technically this is supposed to be thoroughly analyzed before the purchase but I was just looking for some input on how I did on mine. Its a 2002 100% stock with 92k miles. 2 owners (2nd owner I purchased the vehicle from had it from 22-92k miles) and garaged kept and adult (55+ actually) driven its whole life. Its never been tracked, modified, or wrecked. Every single panel on the car still has the original matching serial # stickers.
The body is in excellent condition minus some very minor scratches on the underside of the front lip and 3 barely noticeable dings, one on the passenger rear fender, on under the driver side door handle and one I had to actually hunt to see on the trunk lid. The car came with brand new (1000 miles) tires and the interior is in great shape w/an aftermarket Alpine headunit and JL Audio 10" sub/door speakers w/their own independent amps.
I'm assuming he had the top replaced because it is in like new condition and operates smoothly.
Engine bay is clean with no leaks and she runs smoothly. Very slight puff of smoke on startup on cold mornings and minimal oil usage (about 1/2 a qt in 1500 miles that I've put on here). The transmission shifts cleanly and smoothly save for a single engagement into 2nd that caused a minor grind under hard acceleration. I've read the trans/clutch fluid can cause this with nearly 100k so I'm going to flush and replace both this afternoon along with the brake fluid.
Long story short the seller was asking 12.5k and I walked out with the title and the keys for 10.5k wondering if I made out alright because I've seen the values all over the map for these cars. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the affirmation lol, I got her up on jackstands today and changed out every drop of fluid in the car. Trans/Diff were dirty but not bad, brake and clutch systems were in a similar state with dark but not terrible fluid. Put a new set of NGK OE plugs in to replace what I imagine were the originals, they came out w/burnt insulators and gapped to almost .060! She ran well before but is a changed machine now. Same deal w/the trans it shifts like butter w/better clutch engagement w/the new fluid.
Looking forward to all the knowledge available on these forums and blowing many hard earned paychecks on her.
