2008 GPW with ~ 20kmi which looks in pretty cherry condition. I was thinking $26/26500 would be where I would look to land on this. Any thoughts? Am i too high or low? Thanks

FYI Bridgewater Acura has a RYP 2008 with 9K miles for $35K. I think the pricing on that GPW is about right- but the year needs to be confirmed.

Nice catch! I closed the window after seeing the discrepancy in wheels/year. If it's indeed modded and returned to stock, it's not worth the asking price. $26K for a 1 owner 20K mile unmodded AP2 in the tri-state market would be a fair price, but the questionable history may raise flags and lower the price. Unfortunately the dealer may not know or care to know about the car's history.
Thanks guys, you guys have quite the eye. I last owned an S2k in 05, and just finished grad school and wanted to pick another one up but am not as up on all the details as I used to be. The car fax looked ok, I didn't see anything too funky other than "Anti-theft/keyless device/alarm removed" once it got to this dealership, which I am not sure what that means. I have been emailing a sales person there but they don't seem too knowledgeable on the car. I'll keep digging. Thanks.
Hi all,
Been to see a nice looking S2000 today, 2006 model in red, 45000 miles, in good used condition with a few mods and up for £10,000, which based on the condition seems pretty good.
Here's the ad for it:

He's started taking the plastic dip off for me, and I expect there will be more to do when it comes down to it, didn't test drive today as it needed tax, but he is sorting that out for Saturday when I'm going to drive it, engine started up and ticked over smoothly, the chap works as a diagnostics tester at a big car manufacturer and after a brief chat seems to know his stuff.
So, I guess I just wanted to get your collective thoughts on the car and if there was anything specific I should check? I printed out the big list of common issues and things to ask and look for, here's some stuff I noticed today:
Rear paintwork on wings is a bit crap, been resprayed due to someone kicking it in and keying it, the panel shape is fine but the paintwork was done too quickly without sanding between layers, it has a couple bumps.
The soft-top has a couple of tears, apparently it doesn't leak but I wouldn't trust it, not sure on the cost to get it fixed/replaced, ideally want to get a hard top as well since the noise will be more manageable, the chap reckons I can get a new soft top fitted for ~£600, any tips on a UK hard top aside from gumtree (Seen a couple for ~700)
The alloys need a refurb, some curbing but not major
Rear wheels need replacing
It's been de-catted and has a full stainless exhaust system, sounds great but the MOT chap might have some questions, I assume this is a common thing, is it a case of swapping a cat back onto the machine for MOT time?
Interior looks nice and clean, can't really fault much there
12 Months MOT pretty much (29th March 2016)
Seems a good price, I reckon if I get it and spend about 1k on it I'll have it in mint condition, any thoughts?
Also to add - though he has modded it, all original parts come with the car, so I can take these away with me if I buy. I've left a deposit with him of £200

I strongly recommend you post in the UK sub-forum because there are probably some region-specific questions which can be answered for you best in that sub-forum.

Hey guys,
I've been wanting an S2000 for a while now and I have finally decided to pull the trigger. I found one on a local craigslist, 2005 Berlina Black 117k miles with a "clean title" for 13,5.
This was his ad.
Up for sale is a 2005 Berlina Black S2000 with 117K original miles. This is my DD so the miles will continue to rise but not by much, 3rd Owner Car is in excellent shape and has no issues. There are No interior Rips or Dents on the paint. Clear and clean title in hand. Oil change with castrol edge fully synthetic oil every 3.5k miles. Car is washed and waxed every 2 weeks. It has a Brand New Robbins Soft Top with Glass, and All Bone Stock except for Pioneer Head Unit (Stock Available).
Recent Maintenance:
Kong Yellow Adjustable Springs
New OEM Front Lip
New Robbins Soft Top
New OEM Clutch (89k)
New Coil Plugs
New Spark Plugs
New Hawk Brake Pads
Full Castrol Synthetic Oil Change
Rear bearings, hubs, and knuckles replaced with Honda OEM April, 2014
Valve Adjustment
Alignment

So, a relative of mine ran a carfax on it and saw that it has failed a California emission inspection back in 2011 (not sure how bad that is because we are both in Virginia now) and there was an accident reported back in 2005 from the original owner. The guy I am buying it from is the 3rd owner. So I asked the owner if he knows anything about it and he said there was minor scratches under the car from the first owner but it has then been fixed. So then said relative ran an auto checker on it and found this

Now, I have already been approved for a loan to buy the car and we are supposed to meet up on Saturday but now I am worried about the frame damage that has been posted on auto checker even though it was back from 2006 and at about 100k miles ago. Should I not buy the car? Should I offer him lower due to the frame damage? Etc...
Any advice with this purchase would be greatly appreciated.

What worries me is he stated "clean title," but your pulling up reports of damages. That would be my first red flag.
