I'd say 13k with everything.
12k no rpf1
11k no coilovers
10k stock wheels stock suspension.

And maybe even a tad less because it needs that wheel bearing done, new tires and it has some cosmetic issues. But it's not far off.
Ya, it is a bit high for not being totally stock (nice parts, but they're track parts...which makes me worry if it's been tracked a lot), needs bearing (and possibly the hub too if it's damaged from the bad bearing), and rolled fenders, top etc.

He gave me his offers:
15k everything
13k no COs
13.5k no rpf1
??k stock wheels & stock suspension
...a bit high sounds like

Hello All --

Shopping for my first S2K. I'm looking for an AP2, particularly a 2006-2009 (I'd like the option of doing a tune down the line if I want to). I've found a one-owner 2006, Suzuka blue (matching interior), 35K miles, for $17K. The Carfax shows one minor accident and the owner said he was rear-ended just after buying the car (in 2006), and the bumper was replaced because the damage impacted the styrofoam. He had it replaced under insurance and no accidents or problems since. The driver's seat has some scratches and wear, but no holes. There are some rock chips on the front (not bad -- looks really good in pictures from 10 feet), and the bottom of the front lip probably needs to be resprayed. The top has one little spot of wear, and the owner said he had it repaired and it has never leaked, etc. It's always been garage kept.

$17K -- fair deal for this or keep looking? It seems like a good deal for the year and miles, but if it's not the right deal, I'll keep looking.

Might be a good deal - can you check to see if any of the rear body panels were replaced or repaired? But that might not matter to you, given the price. When you say "matching interior", only the seats and carpet were blue in the 2006 - everything else should be black.

Yes, sorry, the seats and carpet are blue but everything else is black. I can ask him about the body panels, but he's an old guy and I don't know if he'll understand what to take pictures of re vin tags, etc... he's been very upfront about sending me pictures of requested things though. He's about 3 hours away so I can't easily see it in person. If the consensus is that it's a good deal, I'm planning to go see it next weekend and bring cash to make the deal and drive it home.

And the carfax: http://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistory...&partner=AMG_1

Looking at the previous owner driving history, should I be concerned that the last owner took the car from 49k to 83k miles in under 2 years? There also appears to have been a minor accident, but no structural damage (on paper at least).

Thanks!
Any advice? The price seems a bit high for the mileage, but a bit low for the model year.

Link showed the car was no longer for sale. I guess somebody thought it was a good deal!

Is the title clean, i.e., not a salvage or rebuilt title as a result of the rear end accident? Seems like it is worth a look though. Good luck!
