Hand, it seems you got the better deal! Only thing I can say to make myself feel better is that I got 100k mile/8 year warranty....and it's a gpw with red interior. If you got the same then I got f&#*!@ hahaha

Hello fellow members, I'm in looking at a new fun daily driver and I came across this one CL http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/cto/3548022500.html

Is this worth it? Now I dont know much about rims but, how much are those worth? Thanks

2004 S2000 Light blue
98k miles

Previous owner replaced clutch cylinder components, trans fluid, diff fluid, and battery at 92k miles. My concern in general is purchasing a S2000 with 100k miles on the clock. Overall it is in great condition and the interior shows no wear. The clutch has a light chatter when not pressed in. normal? The shifter had almost a grind when cold and shifting to second at low rpm.

I would be getting it for approx 10,000. Does this sound like a fair price if the above is ok? Anything else I need to look out for prior to purchasing or what to expect. Thank you very much for the help!

This. Also, in my experience the transmission is notchy until it warms up, then it's awesome. There are plenty of S2Ks with well over 100k on the clock that run great. As long as it was properly taken care of then it'll last for a loooong while. It is still a Honda after all.

Hi Guys, i posted a picture the other day about a leak on a 2001 Red that i am thinking about buying and while my head tells

Info: 2001 Red on black with 149K price $5700

Known Issues:
1-Vtec Solinoid valve spooler is Leaking-Parts $260 Labor is easy i can do
2-Front windshoield needs to be replaced-Has cracks-$160 changed
3-front Driver bucket seat needs repair or cover-$200-$250
4-Front bumper has been scraped and needs work-???
5-There is a weird noise coming from the front right wheel(SHHHHH sound)may be wheel bearing-???

She starts up without any hesitation-no warning light-drives great-Top works fine and no tears
Tires are good-shifting is notchy but no slippage or grinding-No oil leake except the Vtec solinoid

If you are mechanically inclined go for it (assuming it hasn't had any bad accidents or bent frame). It is hard to pass on that price. Even if you replace the motor and transmission, it will still be a good price. The transmission may just need a fluid change. It is amazing what a decent mechanic- that is very knowledgable about these cars- can do to turn one like this around. Count on other things being wrong/needing replaced at that price.
If you have access to a second vehicle incase unforeseen circumstances occur, your life will be a lot less stressful.
