A word of advice- when you replace the vtec solenoid, replace the bolts too. They tend to stretch and weaken when reused, and people tend to over torque them when they start to leak.

Wow if you can buy AP1's for 5k in the states, I may just fly down and buy another one for a winter beater...

As mentioned above, if you are mechanically inclined go for it! If not, it can get costly.

Known Issues:
1-Vtec Solinoid valve spooler is Leaking-Parts $260 Labor is easy i can do
2-Front windshoield needs to be replaced-Has cracks-$160 changed
3-front Driver bucket seat needs repair or cover-$200-$250
4-Front bumper has been scraped and needs work-???
5-There is a weird noise coming from the front right wheel(SHHHHH sound)may be wheel bearing-???

I say go for it. That's an awesome price...

-clear up the headlights

-remove that front plate cover unless your state requires a front plate obviously

-vtec solenoid you can get for under $50 easy. In fact I have one if you ever decide to get it sometime soon. But it might just be the gasket, which is only a few $$$

-maybe insurance will replace windshield for free since it's a safety hazard.

-bumper scrapes are no big deal, I have two on my lip from previous owner and it's way down on my to do list. A fresh paint job though should be around $150.

-the front right wheel noise might just be the disc brake dust shield. Take a long tip screwdriver and push back around all the edges. A bad wheel bearing is easy to tell, jack the corner up and try to move the wheel in every direction. If you have play it's either a wheel bearing and/or ball joint/tie rod.

but like others have said, great price regardless.

If its in good condition then I think 10k is a great price. The notchyness of the transmission is normal for s2ks when cold. I say go for it

I just bought an '04 with 97k on it about a month ago. Did my research and took my time looking at the car and paying attention to everything while I test drove it. I paid 10k for it and it's been a dream. If the body looks nice, vin numbers match, no leaks or evidence of head gasket problems, then go for it!

There's also several threads on here about what to look for when buying and also a thread on known problems with each model year. Take the time to review this stuff and make your decision.

10k is a good price. I paid more for an AP! with more miles, but I get free services for whatever issues that may arise since the previous owner is a Honda mechanic.

No accidents and clear title? If not, car is an easy 8 grand+ after a $100 detail.
