That would be the deal of the century if it is truly for sale. I was curious and checked the vin and it comes up as a 2008 CR.

Be careful because it might be a deal too good to be true.

The blue 2002 s2000 sold before I could even go for a test drive. I have a feeling he's gonna say the deal fell through.

No doubt. I am thinking fake address in the ad so you show up with cash and get whacked.

Hello everyone. I am looking at this 2006 Suzuka Blue S2K with 75K miles that has a very well-kept interior and an extremely clean engine. The problem is that it has a "Mileage Not Actual" title due to it being stolen back in 07. I'm gonna check out all the panels and the engine to make sure all the VIN numbers match (as it may have replacement parts due to the theft), but even if they do, how much would you guys think it is worth? The seller is asking for $17,200 but that's closer to the price of a car with a clean title. Any help figuring out a fair price for this S2K would be greatly appreciated!

Pretty sure I saw that not actual mileage title car on eBay last week. Says in the ad he can prove it wasn't rolled back or something right? The only way I'd say buy a car like that is if you've had a s2000 before and know that you love it, fits your lifestyle, and that your not gonna sell it. Because that on your car makes it damn near impossible to resell and it should give you alot of negotiation power. I bet he gets thrown around all the damn time and wants above market value so let him keep his crummy car. I'd offer a hell of alot less with something that dirty on the record.

I actually found it on Carguru in my area (Northern VA). The carfax is a bit confusing because the title is branded as NAM here in VA after the vehicle was stolen 2007, and also branded NAM in North Carolina after it was sold down there. However, after it was sold again and registered back up here in VA, the carfax doesn't mention the title being a NAM title. I actually saw the car earlier this week and looked at the title and it looked like a clean title.

Little update on the car i posted earlier.

The guy sold it under me and its at a local dealership rn. They actually contacted me because i have a "looking to buy" ad and they are repairing the rust and will be asking 19000CAD (14500USD)

All that i know is that he sold it to them for under 14,000 CAD (10500USD)

Ill pay for an inspection but I'm worried about fighting rust as I've repainted my del sol personally three times in 10 years as my winter daily. Soft top appears to be in decent shape, a bit old but no tears. I'll post more about the car after I take a look and get inspection. Guy lives pretty close to me actually, taken in the same lot I buy liquor on Fridays few blocks from my house lol

Uhh... How do you "repair" rust? I'm probably a newbie but "repair" rust mean the following to me:
- Paint over it so you don't see it anymore
- Scrap until the "rust layer" is off, who knows how much you have to scrap though
- Just replaced all of the rusted parts (so the whole car basically?)
