Hes asking $12.5k obo
Depending on what the carfax says i was thinking of offering 11k.
I saw that on Craigslist today lol. It's a very nicely setup car but It depends on how much you value mods. I personally wouldn't pay more than 10k-10.5k because it's rebuilt.

I have no clue about the car, but if the parts on the car are like new (BIG IF)
--Ohlin Coilovers go for about $2,000 used with light use in great shape.
--Stoptech 6 piston brakes-- ~$1,500 Used?
-- Eibach front and rear sway bars-- ???
-- Hardrace front and rear upper control arms -- ??
-- Enkei PF01 wheels: ~ $800 used in very good shape.. or $550-600 fair condition.
--Total value of aftermarkets: As much as ~ $4,300.

So is the rebuilt title car really worth $7,000 (assuming the aftermarkets are in very good shape). If not keep looking, I'm always skeptical with a rebulilt or salvaged title as it's generally more of a gamble. Sometimes it is worth expanding the budget a little to find a nicer example. Maybe find a stock one, and then mod it to the way you like that your budget allows.

2002 GPW with Red Interior
67,300 miles
Tires - OK per the seller
All original
2nd Owner
OEM Car cover
Autocheck shows mileage last July was 66,775, and no service since then.
Wish I had more info, but any input would be great. See images below.
Asking $17,000, but I feel that is high.
Thanks!

Asking price seems a little high, but including the GPW color premium, it isn't that far off, just a little high as you'd expect the asking price. If you really like it perhaps offer a little less. Though you can potentially get into a lower mileage example for $16,000 or $17,000. Or even an 04-05 AP2 with 45,000-65,000 miles. Personally I wouldn't consider paying over $15,000 for a stock ap1 nearing 70,000 miles, but it doesn't mean someone else wouldn't. From the few pictures it does look really well cared for and clean, but without being able to drive it and see it up close I couldn't tell for sure.

I'm looking for my first S2k. I found an 05 suzuka blue on blue with 80k, which has been on the market over half a year and is asking $16k (roughly KBB). I'm scheduled to drive it this weekend, but my gut tells me there's something wrong with it given how long it's been on the market at this price. Seller claims new top and tires.

From what I can tell from the pics, the panels look straight, front bumper seems to be slightly darker, nothing else noted yet.

It will be my first drive in an S2k, I'm currently in a newer miata, so I don't have much to compare it to yet.

Make sure you check all 10 vins and make sure they match. Also, it might be worth having a leak down and compression test done. But if he's asking kbb value for it and it needs 2k in "repairs" that may explain why it's been for sale for so long.

Being on the market still for half a year is pretty suspicious, but it also depends on your location if the S2000 isn't highly desirable there. I would check all the vins for original panels as you said the front bumper looks off. To be honest, I already think an 05 suzuka blue with 80k at 16k is overpriced. Unless it's immaculate, that car is worth at least 2k less.

2007 NFR with 95k miles completely stock asking 19.5k. Carfax shows an accident which was a rear end collision the only way you can tell is the bumper is slightly misaligned, I checked and the VIN sticker is still on the bumper. Exterior and interior are in amazing condition despite the mileage.

Ok, seller seems delusional on that suzuka blue. Car looks awful. It's the dirtiest car I've ever seen for sale. The clutch needs to be replaced, the rear end is making a clicking noise, it's had the rear bumper replaced at minimum, front bumper has large and poor touch ups, the driver's side bolster is pretty worn, headlamps are completely yellowed over. I also heard some ticking coming from the engine at about 3k.

It drives ok, with new tires and brakes. My guess is it's closer to a $9k car with the current issues, assuming there's nothing worse. Is this a fair assessment?

Unless you are looking for a cheap 2005 Suzuka, why bother? You apparently have more to spend - save yourself the grief. Or are looking for a project S2K?

I agree, unless you're mechanically inclined and looking for a project I'd run. You can find much better cars for the money.
