The spring spacers that are left on new S2000s are just pieces of rubber between the coils. They were left during assembly. Some S2000 owners have found them still on the car after replacing the shocks. They are not strong enough to mess up anything though ... just kinda funny to find. If the rubber spacers refer to something else, someone may want to clarify.

It's just apex. You know, that's a good idea, I'm going to email them and make sure they are taken out when I get there.

The spring spacers are put in before shipping and are there to prevent shipping damage during transport by not allowing the suspension to compress too far which could allow the underbody to contact some things it shouldn't. If your dealer is doing their job, these should be removed as part of Pre Delivery Inspection. Unfortunately, dealers don't get much repetition at removing these spacer since only the S2000 now uses them. The NSX used these as well, back in the good old days when Honda/Acura had 2 sports cars...

The CR suspension is so stiff and sits so high from the factory that the spacers probably could be done away with.

The problem comes when over zealous, but well meaning truck drivers tie cars down just a BIT tighter than they really need to.
