Yeah, I almost didn't say anything becuase I really don't want anybody to try it then go looking for someone to blame (ME) when they do $2000 damage to the top and the car...

But I knew there had to be many more people out there that really wanted the top off one day, didn't have any help around, and just couldn't stop themselves from giving it a shot...

While I don't think I'll be trying it any time soon I can see how you could get the top off by yourself. However, can you put it back on yourself?

After my last scratch incident.
Here's my non scratch solution.
Thanks to Xviper, his setup is a little fancier.

Cheap, quick and simple.
Works well and proven.

Car backs in, winch roof up or down and car drive out.

Actually, I think putting back on by my self is the easier part.

Talking about removing the top. I had the top taken off for a tint and after we put it back in, every time I drive over rough road surfaces I hear the rattle coming from the driver side latch. I checked but the latch and it latched tightly. Anyone have any idea what may have cause the rattle ? perhaps the top is not completely aligned somewhere ???

The CR takes a bit longer to clean than my reg S. The rear spoiler makes it more difficult. Just cleaned her up with some polish and wax!

My new CR!
