when I first put the 01R's on I wasn't too sure about them.

but now they've been on the car a few weeks and a track day, so they are nice and scrubbed in.

In their current state the 01R's perform just as well as the 07R's.

I have to give the 07R's a better score on overall performance, but the 01R's appear to be holding up much better.

I'd love to have the 07R performance with the 01R wear for street, autox, lapping days

Does the blinking "peak power indicator" ever get annoying? It doesn't seem to correspond to shift points too well.

i don't even look at it anymore.... it is useless, not to mention the way i sit, it is barely noticeable, and completely gone with the top off in the sun.

Would any Apex Blue Pearl guys be interested in getting some color matched key hole plugs.

I had them for my Laguna and loved them, got ride of the shiney silver key hole. Only the place I orderd from says I am the only person to ask about them in Apex.

This is who I orderd mine from! Less than $20 bucks is what I paid I think.

I have to call you on that one. In my experience, the RE01-Rs were very noticeably better than the RE070s. I would compare the RE01-Rs to the Kuhmo Victoracers and the 70s to the stoc RE050s on the base model.

My guess is that

a. you got some bad tires
b. your setup changed or works against the tires or have the wrong setup.
c. you don't know how to compare tires. (no offence)

You will find that most everyone will agree that the RE01-R is a much better tire.
Other than "feeling" the differences, I had the chance to prove this at an event (40 second auto-x course) where the 225/255 RE01-R was about 0.6 second faster than the RE070s.

I got mine from Erik at www.bumperplugs.com. They don't have our paint code but he sent me a set in Audi Sprint Blue Pearl, and the difference is less than you might get from normal paint lay down/curing variation using the correct code anyway. 3 plugs was $22, includes one for the trunk...

Cool thanks for the info! I think I would rather have the piece of mind knowing that it's an exact match though lol and cheaper! I'm very anal though.

He said if I could get two others it would be $13.99 plus shipping and 4 more people and myself would be $13.99 shippec.

2 For each door and 1 for the trunk! Can't beat that!
