The worst experiences I have with this are on a main road we have out here (I live in the country). It is a 55mph posted road, just one lane going either direction with certain points that have dotted yellow lines for passing when safe. I don't know what it is but everyone insists on going at least 10, if not 20 mph under the 55mph speed limit. This is the only road I have to get to my house and again since it's the country it takes some time so I like to go the actual speed limit and I do pass people (when safe) using the dotted yellow to get around them because they are significantly under the speed limit and if you don't pass when you have the chance, you could get stuck behind them for miles because there are no other lanes. What kills me is after I pass someone... using my signals, giving proper distance, etc, they flash their brights at me like I'm the asshole for going around them. No douchebag, go the speed limit and there won't be a problem.

People just don't pay attention these days and drive... instead they're texting or on Facebook or doing anything other than the task at hand. Ugh

 

I call it rectal/cranial insertion disorder. There are a lot of people who drive around with their head up their ass going 10 under the speed limit. When we try to pass them their head comes out of their asses for just long enough to cut you off and keep you behind them. Once you are behind them again their head goes right back up their asses.

 

This. Most people arent paying attention and when you pass they look to see how fast they are going, realize they are going slower then they want and speed up as you are trying to get around them since they are self centered and ignorant. Just like when you pull to the right to let someone by and they make sure to pass you slow enough so you catch up to the car in your lane and you have to slow down to get back in the left. (by slow down I mean speed up and cut them off)

 

Man would they hate italy..... italians pass you when theres not even a cars length between you and the car infront of you. I be a dick and close the gap even more and have them drive in the middle of the road until they go back, but then again italians dont give a crap about driving in the middle of the road either.... haha.

 

This ticks me off too... so annoying, people just don't get it. As I've told my wife many times, I have to be an asshole driver, whenever I am it works in my favor. Anytime I'm nice I end up getting f@#ked over... I don't want to be a selfish asshole driver but they give me no choice!

 

Same here, and when my wife drives the S, it happens even more. Usually its a poor guy driving a minivan who can't stand to get passed by the cute chick in the sportscar

 

I will have to explain this to the G/F. She always get on me about being an aggressive driver. She says "if you're a little nicer on the road then people will be nicer to you." What kind of illogical theory is that?
