i just did a top swap on my 00 to an 02. its not that bad as far as the elastic bands and the nylon straps go the tough part is replacing all the little pieces of EPT sealer that are all over the frame to keep it all from leaking.

i wish i could make $600 swapping these out

EPT sealer? what exactly is it? the guide didn't mention that.

I am glad someone who has done the swap has spoken up though. how hard really was the swap? was it hard enough to warrant the 600+ installation, or would it be alright for a cheapskate with alot of perserverence, like myself?

eh, regardless I Imagine i will do it myself anyway. I hate being a poor college student

it wasnt too bad as i had an extra set of hands to hold things for me.

i also recommend purchasing some extra parts if you are going to drill the elastic and nylon in to place.

part number 39 is a small metal plate that covers the elastic/nylon where it rivets to the frame to keep it from unraveling. you'll need 6 of these.they are about $2 each.

i also purchased some eyelets to go in the other end of the nylon strap where it attatches to the rain channel area. just took my soldering iron and melted the proper size hole in the end and put the eyelet in.

eyelets

or you can be lazy and order part number 90 in the pic as its already made for you.

the EPT sealer is honda part number 06990-sa5-000 and it comes in a roll. just ask to buy a bit(my local parts guy just gave me a foot of it. its the black spongy stuff you see all over the joints and seams. just cut little pieces as you need it.

if i can think of anything else ill add it up later.

check my blog (in my sig)for a pic of the top after i finished.

I am very interested to hear from those who've ordered a soft top from cabrioworld. I might just end up ordering one also once we all hear about the quality and fitment of their tops.
