i do not see prices inflating for a while...years. i think it would be a bit like a used prelude or supra or rx 7....it was in demand for a while, and then discontinued...or the mr2...now i think the s2000 should become something even more special over time for any number of reasons but it will take years...for now it should be another used car....so if you want one then pick your year and go hunting, there should be a spread of what owners want for them like any other used car.
eventually the 2000 year and the 2009 years should be worth more than other years for obvious reasons and the CR as well...for now they are just used hondas we love to own, with a limited following, just like it always has been.....

for the record the cars sold till mid 2003 or so had dealers asking $5,000 over sticker and they got that money on a consistant basis....so earlier ones that were purchased new were more expensive due to that.

I bought my first S, an '01, in Feb. '01 for sticker. $1000 over seemed to be a common markup at the time, but MSRP wasn't too hard to find if you were willing to travel.

The big markups were pretty much confined to the '00's, when it was about as hard to find one w/o a markup as when the GT-R came out.

supply will dwindle eventually, followed by depreciation reaching bottom on bone stock examples. Bone stock examples will eventually fetch the most as this car will become more historical and less performance compared to what is currently available. Condition and and original-ness will dictate the top prices.

they should atleast hold their value for a while, used that is.

and in 20-30 years be worth something... if it has low miles and honda doesn't make another roadster
