Oops, didnt look at the video long enough. apparently he double clutches some downshifts but not all. I missed the few he actually double clutch rev matched.

I had a 1975 pickup with a rod operated clutch, a 1995 neon with a cable operated clutch, a 97 SS with a hydraulic (normal) clutch, and now I have this S. I learned how to heel-toe when I was 16-17, I learned how to no-clutch up/down shift around the same time. I've driven mostly any common car that comes in manual, since I happen to be the "car guy" and friends usually ask me to drive their car if they're drunk or fix their car, or to check a manual car to see if its working properly.
Thats quite the resume, you must be a pretty awesome driver.

It would have to be engaged for you to rev up. you engage the clutch, hit the gas pedal to the right rpm and shift into the gear at the same time.

Any shifting should be done before you turn in...

Hell I sometimes shift without the clutch. lol

You're doing it totally wrong. Pushing the clutch in while braking = LESS braking power. Since you're not using your engine to slow you down as well as your brakes, it puts 100% of the load on your brakes. If you can't heeltoe, brake FIRST, then downshift.

And WTF @ shifting into first from 3rd or 4th!? As far as I can tell, there is NO cornering situation with the S2000 where you should be shifting into 1st at any (significant) speed. 1st only goes to what... 40~ MPH on AP1? I wouldn't shift into 1st at anything higher than 15-20 MPH. 2nd is usually the lowest you should go, you should always be in VTEC while cornering, or close to it. ALSO, the transmission has a lock-out on 1st that prevents you from shifting into 1st at too high of a speed which is probably what you're 'fighting'. It's supposed to keep idiots from blowing 1st. And here you are forcing it in... again, WTF. Riding the clutch while going through those corners after trying to rape your transmission into 1st gear is the icing on the cake. Going through corners with the clutch in is not only inefficient, but also dangerous.

I realize you were asking for help, but stop doing that crap. It's bad for your car, dangerous for your safety and just plain wrong.

Holy crap, please sell your S2000 before you kill yourself. If you weren't screwing up so horribly while cornering (clutching in AND shifting WHILE cornering? WTF!!!!!!!) you'd be able to take those corners at 30-40, not 10-15.

My God, there are a lot of uninformed people that have horrible manual transmission driving habits/skills getting a hold of S2000's. I should expect this sort of crap after meeting so many manual transmission drivers that are not technically proficient AT ALL, even after driving for years.
