Default question for mugen hardtop owners...

I just installed my hardtop I bought from a fellow board member in So Cal. AFter installing it I see that my trunk hits the back of the top on the passenger side when open almost all the way. Do you guys know how I might remedy this?

The little black bar that serves as a trunk lid stop or the black rubber pieces that catche the top of the trunk.

I assume you did, but I have to ask - did you hook the hardtop on with the front latches?

The Mugen top and your trunk lid should only touch if you allow your trunk lid to fly up too fast, but when sitting at rest the trunk lid and top should have the slightest amount of area where they do not touch.

Yes the front latches are hooked. It is only the passenger side that doesn't clear. The driver's side looks like it should be ok.

You may have to do some adjusting on the hardtop itself.....which is a pain in the ass to do. You'll need to unlatch the front latches, then undo the bolts inside the hardtop above the rear latches. It is easier with someone else helping. Once you unbolt those rear bolts, it is an art to find the spot that is just right. Have fun <--- for you.

I actually just came back from kragen. I found some rubber bump stops that pressure fit over the factory ones. Worked great and thanks for the tips and help.
