I earn about $4000 a month, average payment is around $500 and insurance per year is $600 for my car and my CR250 I think.

*edit* A new S2K costs $53.500 where I live and I made a 10% downpayment

I am 20 and i live in Alaska. We have this wonderful thing called a PFD which is about one to 2 thousand dollars everyone in the state gets each year from the oil companies. I saved all of mine since i was bork for college, but when i got a job that pays for college i used the money instead for a brand new s2000. Insurance for me is about 380 a month, but i have a crappy driving record from my younger days. I woud day pay off your debt, save some for a downpayment and then in maybe 2 years go ahead and buy yourself one.

Not sure why I got quoted here. I was simply calling out the mistake of WEEKLY for MONTHLY.

I have been working since I was 12 years old (24+ years already!). Noone gets to call me spoiled. I've earned all my debts!

I think it's funny that a 22 year old making $10k a month drives an 01 S2000? :LMAO: Especially someone that works in the auto loan business. I'd surely have a Z06 + caliber car if I was in that situation. Not to mention months of Racing/driving school sessions booked.
Yeah I was about to say, if I was making anything close to $10k a month, I would at least have an NSX!

I'm 20 (21 in 2 days woot) and picked up my 01 S2k at the end of last year.

1. In a given month i make between $2-3000. I work a regular 8-5 job and I DJ on weekend for some extra loot. Also I've been working no stop since i was 15 so I do (well at least did before this car) have some cash saved up.

2. I picked the car up for $21k, I put down $11k of my own money and my parents gave me a loan for the rest. I pay them at least $300 a month, but having no interest is awesome.

3. One of the stipulations of me getting the car was i had to get my own insurance policy. So right now I pay $1100 a year for the S2000. Luckly i daily drive a 93 Blazer so i pa more a month for that then i do the S.

'Fag,' thats good. Is that what you tell your customers when their down payment isnt big enough for your standards?

I gave you too much credit figuring you were a mortgage broker so... instead of suggesting that youre totally full of it; claiming that you generate $10M monthly selling auto loans, Ill just wonder why a 22 year old kid who claims $120M in annual gross revenue is financing a 5 year old depreciating asset.

At least youre not a financial planner, eh?

I'm 20, with a leased MY06 S2k, I pay for it myself, including insurance and any maintenance that might pop up.

1) I make about $3500 a month, gross.
2) My monthly car payment is a little over $425, with $2000 down, for 36 months. I intend to buy the car out at the end, hopefully with over 50% down.
3) Insurance in my hometown is $440/month on my own policy. I'll be moving in a month, putting the price between $340-$400 depending where I end up. I have one no-fault accident and a speeding ticket, which aren't helping me at all.

I tend to spend a lot of money on my cars, before this I drove a 2005 RSX-S. It's my biggest hobby, and provides me many hours of entertainment, and a commute I look forward to. For that, I'm willing to pay more than might be financially smart in the long term.

Edit: I also live alone and pay rent/bills myself... but like others have said, if someone wanted to step up and pay for me, I couldn't say no
