It happens with these cars. I called on close to 10 cars and they were all sold before I called(some on the same day).
That ~2k extra for the car you really want wouldn't make a difference in the long run.
I know I paid more than I could have but it was in good condition with low miles and within reasonable distance so I went for it.
Three years later no complaints
