We're sticking with the roof rail and Garmin because we think it's the best location. Some customizers offer dashboard GPS. for big $$.

I saw this post -- it's an ingenious solution, but I think not a good location. Trying to look down to that place while you're driving or trying to operate the thing while you're driving is just too distracting.

But plaudits for the idea!

The least expensive version in the 2600-2700 series is way more than adequate.
