This is an aftermarket roof.

What year car? Early cars had plastic rear windows and no provision for heat.

Brit-speak can confuse us in North America. Switch on the console is labeled ROOF not hood.

You have an aftermarket top. The "Made in USA" is one give-away. Also, The 2000-01 plastic rear windows did not have white thread sewn on the top. This does not mean you have a sub-par top.
thx for the reply. I feel so bad and cant get over it :/ Should i keep it? And do u know if u can change the glass only or the soft top is "one piece" ?
I don't see any reason to feel bad. It isn't OEM, but it looks like a very nice top with a glass window in it. Drive the car and enjoy it.

agreed. pre replaced soft tops are a common place with as old as our cars are getting, combined with the flaws in the oe softtop frame. Mine was already replaced when I purchased my S and came with a lifetime warranty

Those horizontal lines look like they are elements for a defroster ?????

I don't see any defroster elements. The horizontal lines I see are parts of the interior of the car which are showing through the window.

I would recommend against a plastic window (coming from an AP1 plastic window). It is a true roadster look, but doesn't hold up well, IMHO.
