S2000 needs a new Motor. What to do?
Missed this thread for a while, but I will add, while people talk about how long the OEM hoses last, do not replace the engine without replacing all of them. They WILL fail eventually and many of them are not easy to get to in the engine bay and are buried under the intake manifold.
Also to note, if the VTEC solenoid on one of these EVER has leaked at all, you may as well consider the little horse shoe molded coolant hose under it near the oil filter toast as well. It will eventually fail due to breakdown from oil getting on it. Been there, done that, and of course it happened 10 minutes into the first session at a track night for me

Been awhile since I posted on this but here’s an update. S2K has been running like a dream ever since the swap and hasn’t had any issues besides the sprocket being out of limits on the timing belt. Daily drive it to work everyday and still have the SUV as well! Ended up getting a 2021 Acura RDX I don’t think I mentioned it in this posts.
The piston rings went bad and the oil was burning crazy fast. It was either rebuild or another used motor and I went with another F22 and I’ve been happy ever since! Still keeping an eye on the oil levels of course and using Amsoil 10w-30.
