All these cars are excellent choices. All are very different and are not really competitors. But if you even have to think about it then the S2000 is not for you. Buy the Audi. Save the S2000 for someone who is drooling to get one. personally, I never even considered any other car. I bought the first red one I could get my hands on at MSRP.

Personally, I wouldn't buy any car that the ASS looks just like the FACE (Boxster).

The Porsche Boxster S is the only sports car comparible performance wise. If you initially like the Porsche's ergonomics better you should live with the S2000 longer, digital dash included. I had my doubts initially but the display is 'good to go' for an anologue advocate with decades of bias. The cockpit is tight but it should be. It is fine and dandy for my 6'2" frame at 220 lbs.

The Porsche and Audi are excellent cars. The Honda S2000, money non-withstanding, wins re. its purpose and overall package, quality included.

Don't only take our word on it...check out what Car and Driver had to say. I think the only one not included in this comparision was the TT. The Miata was also not in the comparision but was mentioned. Check it out.

Hey,
Thanks for all the advice. Most has been helpful..others not too kind.

IMO, 32k is A LOT of $$$$ for a second (or first for that matter) car. I want to make the right decision for me...my needs, wants, etc....

At this point the TT and Honda are the front runners (I am planning on driving a S this Saturday)

I sense a shot being lob from WhiteS2k...

I have driven the Boxster...(2000 model, asking price 37k) handled great, good torque, 5 spd..I enjoyed it. Cost is a factor AND plastic rear window!!

Expectations: GOOD STYLING (all the cars in my group are stylish in their own way) SPEED - (I have to be faster than the other guy) HANDLING (Ever hear of Natchez Trace Parkway?) COMFORTABLE INTERIOR - I plan on taking the car on mountain / beach trips. ACCESSORIES - power windows, door locks, CD, AC, CC are the basics I expect for the $$$
REAR WHEEL DRIVE (HATE torque steer) GLASS BACK WINDOW..(eh, its a sticking point to me and why I added the 02 to the mix) MONEY - bang for the buck.

Keep in mind this is MY OPINION...feel free to disagree..
MIATA = YES on the Styling, glass window, handling, interior, good value, rwd, acces - NO on speed
BOXSTER= YES on power, styling, handling, interior, rwd, accessories NO on glass, value
TT = Yes on styling, handling, interior, glass, acces, interior, value, speed NO on rwd
(one can chip the 180hp TT and get 225hp out of it..drops the time to 6.0 0-60)
I have not driven the S2k so I will no comment on speed, handing, etc.

Noticed I havent included the Vette in here....Mustang (Cobra is faster than the S2k..) just dont like USA car products - value drops like a rock, unreliable and the "image" is not there (If you live in TN you can understand my view) Appology to those I have offended
