It was a sequential manual transmission.
Sure the manual is nice, but I just reaklly love sequential manual transmissions!
Is anyone here with me?
Is there anyway Honda could make an S2000 with a sequential?
God I'd buy one then, even if it cost thousands more...
Any sports car purest will want manual box.
That is precisely why Honda engineers went with manual gear box.
Most of the time when i see "sports car purest" i think "unwilling to try new technology." Just seems like they go hand in hand w/ discussions like this. I would consider my self a sports car purest if it weren't for the way people use that term. Because I'm interested in things like SMG, traction control (very minimum, like they use in F1), and dual clutch SMG (like what audi has). Does that mean I'm no longer purest? Does that mean that F1 cars are not true sports car or true race cars. I wouldn't think so.
It came with a magic genie (can she look like Barbara Eden?) who could change the S to a Sierra 2-ton when I needed it occasionly. Of course it would change back at the rub of a lamp.
I'm sick of hearing the told-you-so's when I borrow my dad's.

Bose is crap, although it is better than the big pile of crap audio in the S--for those of you that think Bose is a high fidelity brand, go out and do some research on your audio equipment. If you want high fidelity, check out the Mark Levinson systems that lexus is putting into their cars.
DVD-Audio would be cool to have, Retractable hardtop would be a plus, About 30 more horses and more torque, the newNew Audi Transmission in the upcoming TT--provided that it has Honda reliability. More passenger side legroom.
I like the 6 speed alot, but I think the new TT transmission is pretty cool, and car and driver says its quicker than a manual. check it out.

For me: Add a real glovebox, more interior room, auto door unlock switch for passenger door on drivers door, lighted swtiches on door, better antena, real guages out of an NSX, one touch all windows down, open and close top while moving-OK,better quality interior plastics, better sound system.
Now, I bought the car with all of the above missing and still love it. I have made some tiny mods to change a few of the above things too...i would buy it again even if they didn't do any of above...did I say 3.0 V8?

The MR2 could be an awesome car if they put some performance in it. I am suprised Toyota hasn't because it would be the leader in the group if they brought it up to the Z4, S2000, Boxster S, level. Mid-Engine, Toyota quality, strong price point, what else could you want? They styling is a really bland, and the interior is more like a Matrix than an Avalon...

The engine in the MR-S is extremely hard to get ANY horsepower out of without a turbo, and no one has a kit designed for the SMG!
And the dude who said racing trannies blahblahblah SMGs are autos
NO THEY AERNT
They are hydraulicly actuated manuals that by pushing a button, the throttle lets out, clutch engages, and gear shifts
all at about half the time what a human can do.
So, If honda got their act together, I'd buy the perfect car on the road and go out in the backyard where its nice and calm and shoot my 380RWHP 350Z for not having a great tranny.
(P.S. a 3,000 clam factory SMG option and a $7,000 turbo set up =/= the 55,000 for a loaded Z4)
