^^I agree with this. Personally, I like the CRZ because of the way it looks. If you are looking to save money, buying a new car isn't the right decision. Just drive your S and make sure you keep up on maintenance. It will last a long time.

In the long haul it will save me money, but i'm also looking to get into something comfy to spend 2 hrs a day in during my commute. I dont buy cars and get rid of them when their warranties are up.

If you can afford it well within your financial means, then do it because you want a more comfortable car for your to commute, but not to save money.

No it won't. I already did the math and showed you why it wouldn't save you money at all.

The CR-Z is just a 2 door Prius econobox with better styling.

...Why not just look for a mint 1 owner crx drive it till the engine goes and then do a swap? easy to modify cheap parts. You can build an engine for pretty cheap and still get good mpg.

im in the process of doing the exact thing but with a ef.its a nice cheap summer project, you can make a single cam kind of fun.

You're crazy. The CR-Z's a great looking car. You're just a hater....
you're a hater too, for hating me hating the CR-Z...
see the irony in calling people haters?

and no one is telling you to NOT buy the car... we're just gonna point and laugh at your ineptitude in car buying decision making and sense of style. Do you wear trucker hats and ed hardy shirts? but, seriously... it's an ugly car and considering the cost and how piss-poor performing it is, there's no redeeming part of the car.

It's overweight, under-powered, and doesn't get the MPG it should.

CR-Z looks beyond stupid to me. It's slow, gets crappy mileage, and is small. Does it have ANY redeeming qualities? Not to me. It doesn't even look nice imo. It looks like a "rice mobile" to me. Looks fast, actually slow..

I have a 110mile a day commute and after crunching the numbers buying a 2nd car JUST to save on gas is about the most retarded thing ever.

my civic gets 10mpg better than my S and even that alone does not justify the extra insurance cost to keep both cars on the road.

the ONLY way buying something extra would make since is if it was a scooter that gets 90-100mpg, and a scooter that will do 70mph on the highway is fn scary as hell.

I'm the 2nd owner on my CRX . Look at my sig. The CR-Z is gonna be a way nicer car to drive than the CRX everday tho.
