S2k getting a bit tiresome lol

What we found is when we need a truck, we rent one and it's a lot cheaper then owning one.
If you factor that each car costs approximately $6500/year to own, operate and depreciate you can rent $50/day 130 days/year and just break even.
So we keep one car and rent as needed. All the flexibility, no headaches and they even pick us up with the car.

To me. The s is just like a sport bike but with speakers. Secondary car is a must for dd.
That’s why I also own the 2010 SI in addition to my S2k.
SI for dd. Plenty of room in the car (I have a sedan) and can still rev it to 8k when I want to
S2k for w/e driving
Perfect set up as far as I'm concerned

I felt this same way about two years ago when I bought my Evo X. Traded in my S for the Evo X. Since then I have saved up enough to buy another S and I still have my Evo X as well
Best of both worlds
Get both
Best of both worlds Get both
The problem (at least with me) with having the Evo and the S2k is that you'll end up spending $30k for the Evo for dd
Honestly, I want reliability for a dd. So the Evo was not on the list for me
That's why I ended up getting the SI Sedan. Plenty of room, reliable, still fun to drive, I can beat it up with lots of miles without worrying about breaking down (as long as It's properly maintained) and save my S2k for the w/e
Having the Evo is great, but I could not see myself spending $30k for a dd and it's not as reliable as the SI could be. If I have an S2k for sport driving, why get an Evo.
But that's me. What fits me does not necessarily fits everyone else needs

I have a 20 minute commute (3 days a week) and my CR is my DD - my commute is too damned short! Wednesday night, I was walking from the garage to the deck when my shoes, the rain and the deck conspired to drop me hard, resulting in a hamate fracture in my right wrist. Since then, I have driven my daughter's '06 Beetle and my wife's '07 Mustang, but I can't drive my S because I can't shift gears. I miss my S2000; I miss it badly. I'm 50 years old and I love a raw little roadster - can't wait to put it back on (that's what it feels like).
I started getting the same way as OP recently. Owned it for a year. You still enjoy the car and the looks of the car, but sometimes driving the s2k as a DD can get a little boring.
And that's why I just bought a supercharger

I love my S just as much now as the day I bought it over four years ago and plan on keeping it forever. It's just a blast to drive in the right conditions.
If you want a luxurious ride, utility, space, etc., just buy a second car that fits your financial situation, like I did. Or if you really don't love your S anymore, sell it to someone that will.
