Well, I finally got to see it. I'm going to go against the stream here and say that I really don't think he was driving all that aggressively. Spiritedly, yes...but I think we have all seen much more aggressive driving than this guy was exhibiting. Besides, if he had been going insanely fast I would think the car would have been in far worse shape. Plus, at really high speeds, the only thing you tend to hear on video is wind noise. Anyway, just my .02...I'm sure Officer Bob has a different view.

I did notice that he had a tendency to brake mid corner. He did in the previous turn and then you can see the brake lights flash right before he lost it. Decelerating mid corner will definitely induce oversteer quickly in this car.

Just conjecture here, but it looked like he really lost grip in a part of the road that appeared to be susceptible to sand on the pavement...there is a sandy incline which looks like it meets the road. And I wonder if this could have been a contributor to the accident.

I'm glad the fellow was ok and that he had friends immediately on hand to help him.

I agree that he is not driving aggressively at least in this portion of video. However, he did drive incorrectly which is also a very dangerous thing.

Okay, I just read every freakin' post and watched the vid. WTF?!??! Why are some of you being so quick to form malicious opinions about this guy/girl? People make mistakes, and it looks like that's what happened here. Go ahead, watch the video, look at the pics. Learn from it. But don't think this couldn't have just as easily been you. I can't say that I've crashed my s2000, but I have been found at fault for a couple of accidents and I can tell you, accidents can happen to anyone. The whole "my $hit don't stink" attitude of some of you only proves that you don't understand the fact that you do not have complete control over the little bubble you live in.

I'm not even gonna scroll back in the posts to figure out which one of you was going so far as to stereotype this as a Southern California thing, because you're not even worth the effort... but again, WTF?!

Finally, to the unfortunate guy/girl in the vid, glad you're okay.
