I'm not a hypocrite - rice is rice even if its on an S.

To generalize, I think people who put kits on their cars are generally less mature and are more about show than go - they'd rather spend money on look at me stuff than stuff that will actually improve performance. I can understand wanting to personalize one's car, but a lot of this stuff is just over the top. An S2000 imo is at least a serious sports car - its potent out of the gate, so performance bits on an S aren't as out of place as they are on a Civic.

If teenagers could afford Ferraris you can believe there'd be body kits on them.

Why is it that on here we flame civics and neons for having crazy body kits and huge wings but when the same thing is done to an s2000 it is applauded?
I think your perception of the level of applause does not match reality.

We have discused that even though these things are stock or functional they are still rice. I know this is an extreme but what about a lambo? They have all kinds of ducts and some huge wings and the body is wild. Its stock semi funcitonal half a million dollars but is it rice.

IMO, that Lambo is a great piece of machinery, but its looks aren't spectacular.

I'll have one Ferrari please.

A Lamborghini will also kill a Civic performance wise - a lambo is a purpose-built car to go fast and the body is designed for such. Ricing a Civic is like turning a Lambo into a four-seat grocery hauler.

Cr was purpose built for the track but the wing still gets called rice. Do we change our opinion by price? Im not arguing either way really.

Its because some people only care if it is expensive or rare....that is good looking to them.

IMO we change our opinion in performance. A CR as great a car as it is, is nowhere near the peformance level as a lambo.
