dont drive the s in rain if u dont have to. period.
A well maintained s2k w/ good tires and a competent drive will have no issues in the rain. Accidents like this only happen when people drive beyond their limits. The car isn't the problem.

The comments in this thread really made me mad. Do people really think like this????
This wins for all-time dumb ass comment on these boards!!!
Driving in the rain is not hard as long as you are safe.
Good luck with the new car, good to see you're doing fine. That was a really nasty accident.
Both cars are
wow.... sorry for your S..... glad your'e OK..... mini vans..... I hate those F!@#ers
Were they on the phone and speeding ... did the cops cite the minvan for unsafe speed for conditions
I guess you made a right on a red.... after stop and the ass came around on you.
The van was green left arrow?
looks like a good hit 40-50mph for the van
any cameras for video at the intersection? did the van attempt the stop or avoid you?

Sorry, I have to disagree with ALL the DON'T DRIVE IN THE RAIN COMMENTS!!! XViper and I both live and drive in snow belts, which means they're RAIN belts for half the year too! These cars are wonderful in the rain if: you don't floor it when starting, and have decent tires. If these cars are sooooo bad in the rain, how the hell do you think we can drive them in the winter, in snow, slush and icy roads??
As many people have said, on other threads, learn to drive first!! You'll be amazed at how much better the car suddenly gets just from the driver learning how to drive!

I think that this is akin to "double jeopardy." The thread ran it tortuous course last year; the guy makes one more post, thereby bumping it, and all the abuse starts again. My memory is that all the appropriate abuse was heaped on the appropriate parties last year, and I'm not sure that it needs to be done again to the same guys for 5 month old posts.

What are your impressions of the G35? How does it stack up against the S? Congrats on your new purchase! Enjoy and don't switch off that traction control
