S2kam governer
i have topped so far at 148 with the top down, in stock form. Very windy, and very loud, but also very fun.
*note...this was done at early morning hours, with no cars on the road, and no one else with me in the car*

You are really fighting air drag tremendously over 100 - it is a square law situation, where a unit of measure increase of speed requires 2X the power. As Xviper eloquently mentioned, there are a ton of factors that can affect top speed "claims". I personally would search the car mags that use precision land-based, photo-optic, or GPS equipment. Or someone ready to go to Bonneville? XViper, jerrypeterson, Bueller, Bueller?

Speaking of the car mag's... Car and Driver made a run at Bonneville using an AEM EMS equipped, race-prepped S2000 last year. I'm sure somebody can dig up a link. They hit somewhere in the 153-157 range if I remember correctly. Sorry its such a broad range, but simply don't remember all the details.
Any top speed measured by the speedometer would be wrong, haven't we learned anything from S2KI.COM??? Unless you are using a GPS unit to measure your speed, you are getting false information, end of discussion.
