I'm with you 1000000% 8KGoodENuff.

Its a freaking 35k sports car. It should HAUL ASS! No EXCUSES.

If only I can find something reasonable for the price thats just as fun. :-(

Hurry the hell up with that AP3 Honda!

I went F/I less than a month after purchasing because the stock S2000 is not quick enough for being an otherwise all around perfect roadster.

My other car is a 95whp Jetta, so I know what "slow" is.

No, slow is having 98hp at the crank. I know, I drove a 91 Plymouth Acclaim with 98hp and a 3-speed auto back in the day.

The s2k is how it is. Take it or leave it. If Honda decides to beef up the motor in order to justify themselves on numbers, then so be it. If you feel the need to be faster than a Colbalt, then go FI on your own s2k, that's what aftermarket is for and that's what makes it fun.

As they say, if you can do something about the situation, then do it. Otherwise there's no need in worrying about it.

The S3000 is coming for those that need more hp! I will be sticking with the S2k for it is the perfect summer roadster that to me is a poor man's Ferrari with an exotic sounding VTEC screamer under the hood and with Honda's current styling trends I do not see how they will make the S3k better in the looks dept.
I have driven other cars and owned an STI for six months (Fast but kinda Buick like compared to the S) but NOT any other car seems to Nail down Fun To Drive like the S does in its price range! Not to mention the styling still draws Attention 9 years later .
When I changed jobs this summer the day I went to pick up my last check at my previous employer it was around lunch time and I noticed that everyone was looking and then it dawned on me the S was casting its magic still 5 years into ownership. This car is Perfect and yet those that want more and yes we all do and to me the more power thing is only going to be satisfied by a 911 or Hemi Challenger parked beside the S2000!

to OP.

i agree.

haha, dont flame him guys.

obviously we'd love to have more power in the s2k. look how many of us are doing exhaust/intake/FI/itbs etc mods.

we all want a little more power, probably the only thing lacking, if you dont take into acount the CR's running with no AC/radio

i came from a camaro ss. it wouldve deff been cheaper for me to keep the SS and pay for gas....but it was something about the S that made me want it. sold my Ss, bought the s2k.

The miata costs as much as an ms3, should it be as fast too? The 335i costs as much as a C6, should it be as fast too (yes it should btw)? And yes, the S2000 performance wise isn't stacking up anymore, neither did the nsx, does that make my MY00 obsolete too? Do I think people who bought CRs or MY08s made a sound decision? <shrug>
Then you got cars like the Pontiac Grand Prix GTPs, shouldnt the wrx be faster than that?
In the end, theres ALWAYS going to be something faster eventually, and you;re excuse of oh well I didn't pay ___ for it will run out when the new breed comes out, so hopefully you bought a car that makes you happy, and not only does so when you win a race.

^nah its just that its a real sports car, you know? the miata was never intended to be 'fast' it was intended to be FUN.

the s2k was supposed to be as fun as the miata, but have a little mo power!

the s2k is deff not SLOW though. its damn quick enough to get yourself in trouble quite easily.
