On monday i plan on calling my Honda Dealership to tell them what happend. They better pay for the towing, fix anything that was damaged, and ensure me a free lifetime of oil changes for now on. if not i will have my lawyer come in and settle this problem.

what do you guys think i should do?

The dealership should pay for towing, cleaning of the car, and replacement of any parts (i.e. drain plug).

Past that, why would you EVER go back there? Change the oil yourself from now on.

After an oil change, always check the following:

Doing it yourself:
1. Is the oil cap back on
2. Is the dip stick in place
3. Is the drain plug in place
4. Did you change the compression washer
5. Did you put fresh oil on the new filter gasket.
6. Is the new oil filter hand tight.
7. Does the old oil filter have it's gasket, if not where is it?
8. How full is the drain pan, 4 quarts or 8 quarts. If you screwed the order up or forgot #3, you will have 8.
9. Check the dipstick level, and put it back.

Pick the car up:
1. Check the dipstick, if not at the dealership, then when you get home.
2. While you have the hood up, look for tools, oil caps, Full bottles of oil, missing oil cap, and/or missing dipstick.
3. When starting the car, watch the oil light, does it go out. If its not out in seconds (2-3 is usual) shut down and figure out what was missed above.
4. Look under the car for leaks.

I worked as a mechanic after high school and saw a hand full of oil changes go horribly wrong. Most oil change guys are high, and the rest are barely awake.

the first time i went to the dealer to change the oil at 19,000mi (bought used from a friend), they asked me the milage, i told them verbally. when i picked up the car, the work order had my milage crossed out and 38,000mi or something close, written in place. i figured out while driving home that they switched it to kilometers while turning off the maintenance required light. and then thought they were miles. that was the first clue to a path of complete idiocy....

a friend of mine had his srt4's oil changed by a local chevron gas station, they were't able to fully push in the dip stick resulting in an engine bay full of oil. it was f'd up messy!
