Spa + gold color wheels is where it's at.

Although I do like LBP.

Silver doesn't do it for me. It feels like you couldn't make up your mind between white/black so you settled in between.

Red is also very nice when clean, but being a deep color is harder to keep clean looking. Same as black.

GPW doesn't really bring the lines out well in the S.

Suzuka is nice and has grown on me through time.

So like others said, the plus & drawback of Spa is attention.

I like Rio as well. I just hate the rear bumper though.

Mine isn't a Spa, it's a Rio but:

1. it's a fancy color, probably the fanciest of all, even more than red. How's it day to day? Cops hassling you? Thieves?
I don't notice anything different day-to-day (and my former car was a silver Corolla). No additional cop or thief harassment. I don't how see how color makes a significant difference for either. If you drive in a manner that attracts the attention of law enforcement it doesn't matter what color you drive. Similarly, if you live in a crime prone area you're more likely to have issues regardless of color.

2. Any regrets after owning it for awhile? Like do you get tired of the color?
No. And no, but I've wanted yellow since before the S was actually released. YMMV.

3. Would you pick the same color again?
Absolutely. See prior comment.

4. If I am planning on keeping this car for pretty much forever, would you recommend yellow still?
Like you said, color is a subjective choice. I don't recommend anything regarding color except that I will recommend pink to those that can't decide for themselves.

In general, a recommendation without knowing the person is pretty worthless. You might as well flip a coin to decide.

I believe sports cars should be fancy, like lime green, yellow, or orange porsches/lambos, what not, but for s2000... just a little iffy about it
That's the nature of subjective preference. I think yellow's a perfect color for the S. The S is a small car so it's really not even as obnoxious IMO.

I don't like attention and I don't regret it.

That a 600 Hornet? Did it come in yellow, or did you have it painted?

Yellow is too flashy for me... I'd get the S in any color, but would think twice before getting a yellow.

Yep, that's a 600 Hornet, or 599 as they're known here in the states. It came yellow in '04.

I think what he's asking about the Yellow is whether it'll go out of style. You'll see some blue cars, especially the teal ones or brown ones of the past and want to throw up.

But Yellow doesn't go out of style. Not in this class of car and up anyway.

I've done yellow twice. Spa yellow on the S2K, Speed Yellow on the 911. I love it... though admittedly my next car will not be yellow. Probably Silver.... that being said, I will be keeping the Spa Yellow S2k, too.

I loved my Spa and would definitely recommend if you haven't owned that color S before. If/When I get another S, it will probably be a GPW or Sebring with all red interior. Since that's such a rare combo though, I would choose another Spa next.
