I had one like a year ago... In the rear though, it was a very soft hit, just hit a curb. And no airbags went off. I carfax the car when I bought it and it said no accidents, but it's also very easy to not let any one find out about an accident. So I dont really know.

I had a SRS light due to some seatbelt work. Keep in mind that when the light is on you have no airbag or pretensioner deployment.

The dealer can read a code and determine what is wrong. In my case I knew what was wrong and I knew it had been corrected, so I just reset the code. See Helm manual for that, but only if you know why the code was set in the first place and you know it has been corrected.
