Stance

Well... you/we do own a relatively inexpensive "tuner" type vehicle. You can buy a high mile one for under 10k which opens it up to lots of younger people who like to do these types to things to their cars.
Buy a Porsche if you want to be in more of an "elite" or "motorsport" focused community... and I don't mean that as an insult... but it is what it is.

I also bothers me that when Honda finally made a legit roadster that could compete with the Z4s and boxsters of the world, people had to undermine the accomplishment by pulling them back into the ricer relm. I don't see people doing that with the S2000's German counterparts. There are plenty of other cars that are produced in much higher numbers that could be stanced. And to the argument that the owner could crash one into a tree and total it anyway. At least their was hope up to that point that the car was used for its intended purpose.
The car's intended purpose was enjoyment.
Stanced cars look dumb to me. But threads like this seem dumb to me too.
Men.
Of a certain age.

Here's my input in this... There are so many people at Honda that spent so much time in R&D, so many late nights, so many great minds brought together... just so a daddy purchased, starbucks barista, frat boy could **** it up irreparably.
And all this "to each their own". Their taste in cars is their own as is your opinion about their car. So long as you go to public meets, post it on public forums, anyone gets to publicly dislike your car.

People stance everything...
If people want to mod their cars, and in turn make clean examples go up in value, I am totally okay with it.
Also, Honda has been making legit roadsters since the beginning of Honda..

There is nothing elite in the Porsche or BMW crowd besides the size of some their wallets :P Now they may "Think" they are elite and many certainly do ... but they are not elite, they just have more money to burn I am way more annoyed by owners of high end cars thinking they are in some way special than I am people messing their cars up with stance mods.
And yeah, plenty of those cars being riced and stanced out too. Like I said, its their car. It does suck though when they sell it later as "good condition" when it is utterly destroyed underneath, but that can happen with a normal car that has not been taken care of, so you run that risk either way.

Not going to change anyone's opinion who posted previously but I like to call it freedom of expression. Although I would never do anything to my s2000 (picking up a 2008 LBP this week, yay me) I have come to appreciate the stanced ones out there. They put in a lot of work just like some of us to keep the s2000 in pristine conditions. It is like appreciating different genre of music or art. As long as it is done clean, I take a stanced s2000 any day over one that has been neglected.
